Ident 1

This is a rough draft of the first ident that I have edited, it's duration goes for up to 40 seconds.   

 Currently within this I have not implemented any sound effects. I've applied visual effects such as blur and opacity for the picture. The picture I have selected has a transparent background which fits with the overall visual. I have used keys to make certain and edits go frame to frame, allowing for gradual edits such as a fade in or out. For the first ident I have decided to reshoot some shots as well as add more storyline and shots to the ident, to make it more engaging. Resulting in this ident having more than enough footage to both be of effective use and last the intended 30 seconds I originally aimed for. I still have to implement music, sounds effects and my voiceover. I have not yet applied any visual effects, which I also plan to do.

Ident Two

This is the rough version of my second ident.
Currently I have mixed in different sorts of transitions and sound effects. I have mixed in different films and shots, to make it fits. Some shots that were intended for the other ident have been also used. Within ident 2 I have used some footage that was intended to be used in ident 1, which did not link, however i plan to remove this and find a way to make sure the second ident flows in its visuals.

This is a picture taken of me currently editing my footage. I am using a Mac as this will allow me to use final cut to edit my idents.

In order to upload and access my draft idents and contents, I used YouTube, I made my videos unlisted so I could make them only accessible to me or anyone I send a link to.

Audience Research

  Audience Research  I have finished extracting the draft videos of my 2 pieces, and have shown them for audience feedback to gain a possible improvement. My teacher has discussed with me that my shots for my first ident was not enough, and that I may have to reshoot for more shots, as well as to implement more actions and scenes within the ident. Since my first ident is based on action I initially thought it would be good to implement action themed conventions in my ident. I have been told that I can use this opportunity to also write more in my script and improve already written areas to make them better and more convenient. At that time I had not researched or implemented any music, which I have now been told to start researching, choosing and implementing into my ident.
